Who Is PLI
Promised Land International (PLI) was founded in June 2004, and incorporated in May 2005. PLI is a faith-based nonprofit, internationally community-focused organization that provides educational services that seek to empower the Florida and Caribbean areas. PLI addresses issues pertinent to the development of the Florida and Caribbean communities as a whole. PLI is currently headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, and will have offices strategically located in Sarasota, Florida, and throughout the Caribbean – the first being Promised Land International Barbados.
Our mission in the Caribbean is to partner with the leadership of organizations throughout the communities to unleash their God-given skills, natural abilities, talents, and spiritual gifts for the purpose of becoming self-sufficient. The mission is carried out by providing the following services: wellness and abstinence education; marriage counseling; technical job training; entrepreneurial training; marketing skills; evangelism training; and programs to address other needs that may arise. Matthew 28:18-20 MSG
Our mission in the Florida area is to partner with organizations to help end homelessness among veterans by providing permanent housing and other resources.
The organization is to provide services through Biblical principles that will enable the Florida and Caribbean communities to become self-sufficient. Community-empowerment and self-determination will be developed through the following programs: trained entrepreneurship, wellness and abstinence education, marriage counseling, technical job skills and the marketing of these skills, and programs to address other needs that may arise. Assisted programs are incorporated into one master project centered on meeting the needs of the Florida and Caribbean communities while partnering with established local churches and organizations.
“…my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6 NIV
“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.” Proverbs 29:18 NIV

The programs within PLI will be implemented by a well-trained staff, along with partner organizations; providing services to empower couples, single parents, young adults, adolescents, children and individuals from all walks of life. Our programs will be available to the entire Florida and Caribbean communities without bias. We will establish target areas in Sarasota and the Caribbean islands to initiate its assistance. From there we hope to influence the entire state of Florida and the Caribbean region with our services and programs, and ultimately the good news of Jesus Christ.
