Allison S. Bowden
Treasurer & Assistant Secretary

Allison S. Bowden is the daughter of the late SFC (Ret) Moses Bowden and Autherine Bowden of Tuscaloosa, AL. She has two siblings and is a proud aunt.  As a child, Allison traveled throughout the United States (and a few other countries) with her military family.  Having accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a youth, Allison was active in Christian youth groups at her local church.  She rededicated her life in 1986.  Allison graduated from Central High School in Tuscaloosa, AL and went on to earn a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical and Systems Engineering from the University of Alabama and George Washington University, respectively.

In 1994, shortly after relocating to the Washington, D.C. area, Allison united with Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon, Virginia where she remains a faithful member.  While at Mt. Pleasant, Allison has served in a variety of capacities, including:  Assistant Church Clerk; Women’s Ministry-Vice President and Retreat and Conference Committees; Education Ministry – Commitment Counseling President, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and MasterLife Discipleship Course facilitator; Missions Ministry-Local and International team; Music Ministry, and Singles Ministry.  She has also completed several courses and certificates in biblical studies and lay ministry topics.

Allison is a career civilian officer with the federal government.  Her focus has been the development of large-scale systems for the collection, processing, and analysis of technical data.  She is experienced in program management, having successfully completed all phases of projects.  In addition, she has served as a manager of multi-disciplinary teams, a senior staff officer, and a legislative assistant in a congressional office.  She enjoys participating in mentoring and recruitment activities and has been featured in publications for her efforts. 

Armed with a solid understanding of government and commercial practices related to her expertise in project management, Allison is ready to dedicate her talents and abilities to a worthy ministry that looks to empower the people of God for kingdom work.
